This is mostly a demo page showing a graph of temperatures measured by a set of
Dallas Semiconductors 1-wire
DS18x20s. The sensors measure the outdoor temperature, in a datacenter and the temperature of the
refrigerated air.
They are connected to
a PIC-controlled IO-board (IOM#142A by Peter Anderson, www.phanderson.com).
The graph is of course generated by Tobias Oetikers excellent RRDTOOL. The temperatures are read
about once every 10 seconds, and the results are stored in the RRD repository.
The refrigeration plant is controlled by the IOM142A, which in turn is monitored/controlled by a custom-written daemon.
Currently the refrigeration plant is turned on when the temperature exceeds 24°C and turned off when drops below 21°C. The "refrigeration" line indicates the active/inactive
state of the refrigeration plant.
